There was a clump of hair in the bathroom. It is not cleaned well.
The wifi is terrible.
I have been staying here each summer for thirty years and I am sad to say that it's starting to become run down. The tv signal isn't crisp. The wifi is non existent. The pullout is extremely uncomfortable. The pool is small and can get too crowded. The saving graces are its location and convenient access to the beach. That's what make the shortcomings worth it in the end.
Both elevators went down at the same time. I have my 83 year old mother with me. They did not provide anywhere to sit or any alternative as to how to get my mother back in the room. More basic maintenance needs to be done on this old building.
My parents have owned since 1980 and we've gone down every year and truly enjoyed our stay. The staff runs a tight ship, sometimes a little too strict, but in the long-run, it's for our own satisfaction. It's a no-nonsense, family establishment with very little turnover with both staff and owners. If there is a problem, no questions are asked, they take care of it. Great investment!
Needs a facelift. Pool was dirty almost everyday... even after I watched them "clean" it there was still lots of sand in it. Called the office and told them. They did nothing. One HUGE plus is it's right there at the beach. Super easy access.
My family has stayed here for probably close to 30 years. Always lovely, quiet location, friendly staff!
